29 March 2010 -- Dr Keiji Fukuda briefed Geneva-based journalists on the upcoming expert review of the global response to the H1N1 pandemic and functioning of the International Health Regulations, an agreement among countries on how to handle global health threats.

24 FEBRUARY 2010 — The Emergency Committee that advises the Director-General on the pandemic influenza recommended that it is premature to make any change in the pandemic phase, at their meeting yesterday. Having considered the committee's views, the Director-General determined to maintain the current pandemic status.
